The fastest way to boil potatoes is to peel , cut and then boil them in water to which a little vinegar is added . They will be done in no time and will also retain the texture as well. Add a pinch of baking soda to milk while boiling this will not only prevent it from curdling but also regain it freshness.

Approximate cooking times for boiling four servings of vegetables:Potatoes & Pumpkin 22 minutes, Cabbage 6 minutes, Cauliflower & broccoli 9 minutes, Carrots (sliced), Celery 14 minutes. To avoid over-boiling of milk sprinkle little cold water on it. The best way to boil pasta/Noodles is to boil it in plenty of water and remove it just before it is fully cooked.
