Ingredients :
500grams potatoes, peeled and cubed
1tsp rai
1tsp jeera
a pinch hing
1/2 tsp haldi
11/2 tsp. red chilli powder
1/2 tsp green chilli-ginger paste
2 tomatoes chopped
2 tbs dhana-jeera powder
2 tbsps sugar
salt to taste
For
the garnish
2 tbsp chopped coriander

Method:
Heat the oil in a kadai, add the rai,
jeera, hing, haldi and green chilli-ginger
paste and stir. Add the tomato, chilly
powder and fry with the masala. Add
the potatoe and mix well.
Add 2 cups of water, the sugar and
salt. Cover with a lid and cook till
the potatoes are done. Sprinkle the
dhana-jeera powder and mix well. Garnish
with chopped coriander. Serve hot
with rotlis.

You can use boiled potatoes if you
wish.
