Preparation
Time : 25 minutes.
Cooking Time : 30 minutes.
Ingredients :
2 tbsp urad dal
2 tbsp toovar dal
2 tbsp moong dal
2 tbsp gram (chana) dal
2 tbsp masoor dal
2 tsp rai
2 tsp jeera
1stick dalchini
2 laung
4 curry leaves
3 small red chillies
3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1tsp finely chopped garlic
2 tomatoes, roughly chopped
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp chopped coriander
juice of one lemon
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Method:
Wash all the dals. Soak for 1 hour
and then drain. Add water and cook
in a pressure cooker until soft.
Heat the oil and add rai, jeera, dalchini
and laung until they begin to crackle.
Add the curry leaves, red chillies,
ginger and garlic and fry for 1 minute.
Add the tomatoes and garam masala,
the dals, coriander, lemon juice and
salt and boil for 8 to 10 minutes.
Serve hot
