    Turiya Mag Ni Dal
Preparation Time : 15 min.
Cooking Time : 20 min.

Ingredients :

250 gms ridge gourd (turiya), peeled
1 cup split yellow gram (yellow moong dal)
1 tsp jeera
pinch of hing
1 tsp green chilli-ginger paste
1/2 tsp haldi
1/4 tsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Method:
Soak the yellow moong dal in warm water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and keep aside.

Heat the oil, add the jeera, hing and fry till the seeds crackle. Cut peeled turiya into small pieces. Add turiya and soaked moong dal and stir for a few seconds. Add 3 to 4 cups of water, the green chilli-ginger paste, haldi powder, sugar and salt and simmer till ridge gourd is tender.

Serve hot with Rotis.

Please Note:
