Preparation
Time : 15 minutes.
Cooking Time : 1 minute
Ingredients :
1 cup fresh curd
1/2 beetroot, boiled and cut into
cubes
1 cucumber, cut into cubes
1 tomato, chopped
1-2 tbsp roughly chopped peanuts
1 tbsp chopped corriander
1/2 tsp chopped green chillies
1 tbsp grated fresh or flaked coconut
1/2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
For the tempering :
1/2 tsp jeera
A pinch of hing
2 tsp oil

Method:
Beat the curds and add all the remaining
ingredients. Prepare the tempering
by heating the oil and frying the
jeera seeds until they begin to crackle.
Then add the hing. Pour the tempering
over the raita. Serve cold.
