Preparation

Ingredients :
for paste :
1 onion
6 green chillies
piece of ginger
2 elaichi
1 tsp lemon juice
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
6 laung garlic
Ingredients :
1 1/2 cups rice
1 1/2 cups papadi beans (leelva)
1 1/2 cups Gujarati kadhi
3 sticks dalchini
3 laung
2 tejpata
3-4 tbsp ghee
salt to taste

Method:
Heat the ghee and fry the dalchini,laung
& tejpata for a few seconds. Add
the paste and fry for 2 minutes.
Add the rice and beans and cook for
2 minutes Add 4 teacups of hot water
and salt and pour the mixture into
an earthen pot (or a big bowl). Cover
and cook in a hot oven at 200 degree
C for 20 minutes or till cooked. When
the rice is cooked, pour the kadhi
over it.
Cover and bake again at 200 degree
C for 5 minutes. Serve hot.
