Ingredients :
Raw Rice 250 gms Masur Dal or
Thoor Dal 250 gms
Water 1 litre
Red Chilli and dhania powder 2 tsp
Salt 3 tablespoon
Ginger 1/2 piece finely chopped Garlic
3-4 cloves finely chopped
1 tsp rai
2-4 laung
2 sticks dalchini 1/2 tsp saunf
2 tbsp dhania finely chopped
5-6 curry leaves 2tbsp ghee 10-12 cashewnuts
1/2 cup cooking oil
Vegetables
:
Sambar Onion 10-15 2 tomatoes
Drumstick 1-2
3-4 brinjal cut into pieces
2-3 potato cut little peas

Method:
Soak rice for about an hour. Cook
rice and dal with a pinch of haldi
powder and 2 tbsp of salt over a pressure
cooker.
Boil potatoes, peas and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add rai and allow
to crackle. Add laung , dalchini ,
saunf , red Chilli and dhaniya powder,
curry leaves and fry it. Add vegetables
one by one and fry it. Once it is
cooked, add the cooked rice and dal
mixture little by little and mix it
well. Don't mash it deeply. Fry cashewnuts
in ghee and add.
Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve.
