Ingredients
:
500g besan
1 litre water
750g ghee for frying
750g sugar
3.5 cups water
12 drops orange food colour
12 flakes saffron soaked in little water
50g chopped cashew nuts
50g kissmiss
10 elaichies.
A boondi fryer of medium sized holes.

Method
:
Beat besan and water making a thin batter.
Fill the fryer with the batter up to the
half.
Heat ghee in a pan .Keep the fryer over
pan .Drain boondis in hot ghee by hitting
the strainer on side of the pan, lifting
up then again hitting.
Fry them to golden brown in color, drain
& remove. Prepare sugar syrup .Add saffron
water & color to the syrup.
Mix the boondis, syrup, dry fruits and elaichies.
After 12 minutes, sprinkle over a little
hot water, cover and keep for 1 hour 30
minutes. Make round balls with moist hands.
