Ingredients
:
2cup maida
2 cup sugar, ground
3 tbsps white til seeds
1 tbsp elaichi powder
A pinch of soda
A few drops of rose water
oil for deep frying

Method:
Mix maida, baking powder, sugar, til
and cardamom powder.Knead into a stiff
dough, adding water as necessary.
Divide the dough into small balls.
Roll each dough-ball into a thin chapati
as large as possible.
Cut the chapati from one end to another
into strips about 2cms wide, using
a sharp knife dipped frequently in
water. Make another chapati and cut
similarly from one end to another,
so as to form diamond-shaped pieces.
Heat oil and deep fry the pieces in
groups. Drain and store in airtight
jar
