Ingredients
:
For Koftas :
1 kg chopped meat
1 chopped onion
2-3 green chilies
1 tbsp black elaichi (cardamom)
seeds, crushed
3 tbsp besan
1 egg
1 tsp red chilli powder
2" piece ginger
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
For Gravy :
3 chopped onions
2 pieces ginger
6 garlic flakes
puree of 3 tomatoes
1 tsp haldi powder
1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp oil /ghee / butter
2 tsp corriander powder

Method
:
Put all the kofta ingredients except the
egg in a blender and make a smooth paste.
To this paste, add the egg, mix well, form
kofta balls and deep fry till golden brown.
Keep aside.
Blend the onions, ginger, garlic to a smooth
paste and keep aside. Heat oil or ghee in
a heavy bottomed pan, add the above paste
and stir till it browns.
Add tomato puree, haldi , red chillies,
dhaniya powder salt and fry until the oil
gets separated. Add 3 glasses of water and
when the gravy starts boiling, turn heat
to medium.
Put koftas one by one in the gravy and simmer
with half covered lid for about 25 mins.
Sprinkle garam masala and corriander leaves
on the top before serving.
