Kashmiri Pulao

Ingredients :
2 cups basmati
2 cups milk
1/2 cup cream beaten smooth
1 tsp. sugar
salt to taste
1/2 tsp.jeera
3 laung
dalchini
3 elaichi
1 tej patta
2 tbsp. ghee
1 cup canned mixed fruit ,chopped drained
3 edible rose petals

Method:
Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes. Mix milk, cream, sugar, salt.


Drain rice.Heat ghee in a heavy pan.

Add jeera, elaichi, tej patta,dalchini, laung. Allow to splutter.

Add rice and fry in ghee for 4 minutes. Add milk, cream mixture. Boil in 1/2 cup water.

Cover and simmer till cooked. Mix in drained fruit very gently. Garnish with rose petals.
