Ingredients
:
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 large egg
3 1/3 cup maida
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
2 tsp vanilla
Colored sugar crystal, candies,
for decorating

Method
:
Beat butter until soft ,use medium speed
of electric hand-held mixer.
Add
sugar slowly, mixing properly. Beat egg
in it. Mix flour, soda, salt, and cream
of tartar; add this to the above mixture,
beating at low speed just until mixed.
Stir
in vanilla. Make a dough ball. Roll dough
to a 1/4-inch thickness on wax paper. Cut
into shapes and place apart on ungreased
cookie sheets.
Put sugar on dough before baking,. Bake
at 350 degrees until edges are lightly browned.

and garnish
